Re:story is an online social platform and app where refugees can share their personal stories. It is also a meeting point that allows interaction between refugees and locals.
Through giving a voice to refugees by collecting their first-hand stories, they become more visible and understood by host communities. Next to that, a place where to share can help refugees keep a good mood while waiting for asylum. Re:story aims to contribute to the creation of scenarios of mutual knowledge and to facilitate refugees the start of a new life. Knowing more of the individual stories can stimulate interaction.
As in most social media apps, every user has the option to customize the outlook of their profile. At Re:story each one’s identity is defined by their story, which stands out among the rest by the choice of a specific font – a selection from Google Fonts – and color from within a wide range of options. The identity of all storytellers together will conform Re:story‘s visual identity: simple, read-inviting and plural.
